When Bed Bath & Beyond filed for bankruptcy late last month, the retailer lacked the means to keep its shelves stocked while repaying its loans. The liquidity crisis followed months of supply chain struggles that ultimately derailed and exacerbated its escalating sales and profits. Now, the company is in Chapter 11 bankruptcy and attempting to orderly wind down its physical retail operations, sell assets and repay creditors. Bed Bath & Beyond owes a lot of money to many companies in its supply chain. Some companies, such as Ryder, have publicly disclosed that Bed Bath & Beyond's bankruptcy has affected their own business. The retailer’s largest unsecured creditors include suppliers of merchandise and providers of package delivery, trucking and other services throughout the supply chain, according to court documents. As Bed Bath & Beyond's collapse spreads, here are the trade creditors it's owed the most in the supply chain:
