It is learned that as of January 20, there are 8 ships waiting to unload within 40 nautical miles of the Port of Los Angeles, another 95 ships are slowly heading to the port, and 103 ships are on their way to the port. On average, the berthing time of each cargo ship is about 4.5 days.

California Governor Gavin Newsom said that in light of the severe global supply chain problems and labor shortages at major ports, the Department of Transportation will allocate $2.3 billion for the construction of port and supply chain infrastructure.
