It is learned that after the market closed yesterday, US retail giant Costco said that its net sales in the month ending October 31 increased by 19.2% year-on-year to US$16.47 billion.
Online sales again grew by double digits, up 16.5%. The growth in September was 10.6%. This compares to 91.1% growth in October last year, when online demand from consumers exploded due to the pandemic lockdown.
Among them, food and groceries are the two best performing departments, especially candy, frozen goods and prepared food. In addition, household goods, jewelry and other products also performed well.
Costco said the strongest sales performance in the United States in October was in the Southeast, Texas and Los Angeles. The United Kingdom, Australia, Mexico and Taiwan were the countries and regions with better performance in the international market.
