What are Value-Added Services? Value-Added Services Review

Value-Added Services refers to additional services. Express delivery companies in the United States offer Value-Added Services when signing for a package. In addition to completing the basic logistics functions, they also provide various extended business activities based on customer needs.

About Value-Added Services

Delivery ConfiRMAtion, that is, delivery notification, the courier only needs to deliver the express. If there is no one at the address or cannot provide a signature, the courier has the right to hide the express near your home and mark it as signed for.

Signature Required: This level requires someone to see the courier, whether it is your neighbor or the apartment manager. As long as someone can provide the courier with a signature, the courier will complete the task. If you purchase this level of service, it means that the courier must go upstairs and knock on the door.

The highest level of service is Adult Signature Required, which requires an adult signature. The address filled in for this level of express delivery requires an adult at least 21 years old to sign with his or her ID. It is generally used to send more expensive items, such as cameras, computers, gold bars, etc. If the courier cannot find the recipient in the last two levels of service, a Door Tag will be left on your door to remind you that you have an unsigned express delivery.

Another type is when the U.S. recipient is not available, there will be a: Your-Missed-Delivery-and-the-Info-Notice.

Generally speaking, a parcel will be delivered three times. After three times, you need to take your ID to the courier service outlet on the Door Tag to pick up the parcel. If you do not pick it up, the parcel will generally be returned to the sender after 7 days. You can also authorize the courier on the Door Tag to drop the parcel that needs to be signed for at the door, and just sign and stick it back on the door.
