Foodzie was founded in 2008 by Nik Bauman (CTO), Emily Olson (CMO), and Rob LaFave (CEO).

Foodzie offers online specialty products. Foodzie aims to bring the Internet to the sale of traditional farm specialty foods, including grass-fed beef, caramel soaked with sea salt, and Sumatra coffee. Foodzie provides credit card transaction processing, tax rate processing, and pre-sale trademark services for specialty food producers. -On December 16, 2008, Foodzie raised $1 million from SoftTech VC, Jeff Clavier, a well-known investor from First Round CAPItal, and some angel investors.

-On June 5, 2012, Foodzie, Inc. was acquired by Project J Corporation.
