Consumer-oriented

DOKU users can use the DOKU third-party gateway payment function to pay bills, make online purchases, transfer money between banks, and pay mobile bills with bank account funds through DOKU-supported banks. In addition, consumers can also use DOKU (electronic wallet) to make purchases. Users can register a DOKU account through the web page and obtain a DOKU ID; recharge the DOKU account (ATM, bank/online banking transfer, convenience store, etc.), log in to DOKU, and make transactions in DOKU partner merchants. The electronic wallet launched by DOKU is currently widely used in developed cities in Indonesia.

DOKU provides merchants with four service methods: payment link, electronic invoice, WEB and mobile application.

User Groups

DOKU's user base is mainly concentrated in economically developed cities such as Jakarta, Sasui and Medan, and the user base is mainly young people aged 18-34. With a wide range of cooperative networks, embedded in consumption scenarios, convenient payment and low fees, the user base continues to grow.

Partners

DOKU's partner organizations cover most online and offline merchants and banks. Due to its reasonable charges and convenient services, it has currently cooperated with more than 22,000 merchants including KFC, Line, AliExpress, Spotify and Lazada.

Development History

On December 20, 2012, DOKU obtained the electronic money business license issued by the Central Bank of Indonesia, certificate number No. 14/898/DASP.

In April 2013, DOKU (electronic wallet) was released.

In 2015, Alibaba signed an agreement with DOKU to fast-track and simplify payments for Indonesian customers.

As of October 2016, DOKU had 1.36 million registered users and more than 20,000 registered merchants in Indonesia.

In 2016, DOKU cooperated with Bareksa, a qualified financial institution in Indonesia, to launch a function similar to "Yu'e Bao", with a minimum investment amount of 100,000 Indonesian rupiah (about 51.2 yuan) and an annualized yield of 8.5%, which is much higher than the one-year deposit rate of 4.5% to 6.5% of major banks in Indonesia.
