Is the era of universal cross-border trade coming? The number of third-party sellers on Amazon exceeds 6 million!

As the saying goes, " If there is no frost and snow, the green pine is not as good as the grass ." Before the dawn of success, it is always inevitable to experience hardships. For cross-border people, just the logistics problem alone, there were strong blizzards that swept the United States many times, and then there was the century-long "big ship jam" in the Suez Canal. The giant ship has not yet been freed. These hardships can be said to be one after another in recent days.

However, despite the numerous cross-border difficulties, sellers are still eager to join Amazon . As the leader in cross-border e-commerce platforms, Amazon's huge market potential attracts sellers far more than these cross-border hardships.

"There are so many people who have become rich overnight, why can't I be one of them?" With this thought in mind, more and more sellers have joined Amazon.

The number of third-party sellers worldwide has exceeded 6 million!

Recently, it was learned that the number of third-party sellers in Amazon's global market has now exceeded 6 million .

Data from Marketplace Pulse shows that there are nearly 10 million seller accounts in Amazon's 19 markets around the world, many of which sell on multiple sites. Therefore, the number of 6 million third-party sellers is much lower than the actual number of seller accounts.

If duplicate seller accounts are included, Amazon adds 700,000 to 800,000 new sellers each year, and more than 2,000 new sellers every day.

Among them, the North American site is Amazon's largest market , with more than 3 million third-party sellers. But at the same time, because it has been in operation for the longest time, its growth rate is also the smallest . Marketplace pointed out that the North American market accounts for 51% of Amazon's global market, which will shrink to less than 50% next year.

In addition to the North American site, the Indian site and the European site are also very noteworthy markets.

Among Amazon's major markets, India is the fastest growing market , with an annual growth rate of 29%. Some experts believe that Amazon's Indian site is expected to surpass the European site in a few years.

But for now, the European site is still more popular with sellers . It is understood that since 2021, Amazon has added 295,000 new sellers worldwide, which is equivalent to more than 3,700 new sellers per day, or even 155 per hour. Among them, nearly 40% have joined Amazon's European market .

As a result, as the number of third-party sellers continues to grow, the size of Amazon's market is also expanding. This seems to form a spiral growth situation, that is, the more sellers there are, the larger the size of Amazon's market is, and the larger the size of Amazon's market is, the more it will attract sellers to join.

At present, some sellers call this situation "Amazon for all" .

In addition, some well-known domestic brands have also begun to enter Amazon.

Recently, some sellers discovered that MINISO and NetEase Yanxuan , two well-known brands in China, have also opened stores on Amazon and started to engage in cross-border e-commerce.

In summary, affected by the epidemic, the huge potential of the cross-border e-commerce market has indeed been discovered by more and more people, and in the future, more sellers from all walks of life may join in. Amazon is the most prominent "gold mine", and sellers in it will inevitably face a more severe competitive environment .

But as the saying goes, survival of the fittest is inevitable, if you are not superior, you will be inferior, and if you do not prosper, you will perish .

No matter how fierce the competition will be in the future, the first thing sellers need to do is to make their own products well, keep innovating, and keep evolving. With their own unique and sophisticated brands and products, sellers' business is bound to prosper .
