My brother-in-law took drastic measures against Feedback! Is this also a ban?

My brother-in-law took drastic measures against Feedback! Is this also a ban?

This year, Amazon has made a lot of adjustments to the review rules, which shows that the brother-in-law is eager to rectify the rampant fake reviews on the platform. However, unexpectedly, the brother-in-law did not even let go of Feedback!

Yesterday, a seller posted on the forum that Amazon is now suspending the sales privileges of seller accounts that request to remove Feedback.

The original poster said that he heard from Amazon customer service representatives that if you open a case or mention removing feedback on the phone, Amazon will suspend your selling privileges. Yes, you read that correctly. Right now, the only way to request to remove feedback is to use Amazon's automated system.

Many sellers participated in the discussion on this issue, but no one confirmed whether what the seller said was true. However, sellers generally believe that Amazon has made some changes in handling feedback removal requests recently.

I believe that many sellers are like Maizi. They have only heard that review violations can easily lead to account suspension, but have never heard of requesting to delete feedback and being suspended. So Maizi carefully looked at the backend and found that Amazon really has this rule!

Search for "Request to Remove Feedback" in the seller backend to see the details:

Amazon's backend clearly stipulates the following items:

1. Requests to remove feedback can only be submitted through the Feedback Manager . Using any other channel to request the removal of feedback may result in your selling account being deactivated. (This means that what the seller said about opening a case or mentioning on the phone that removing feedback will result in suspension of selling rights is true!)

2. Removal requests must be submitted within 90 days after the buyer leaves feedback. After 90 days, the system no longer allows feedback to be removed. (Note that only feedback within 90 days can be removed)

3. In the Latest Feedback table, next to a specific Order Number, select Request Removal under the Action column.

So, under what circumstances will Amazon accept the deletion request submitted by the seller?

It can be seen that Amazon only removes feedback in the following cases:

1. The feedback contains obscene language;

2. The feedback contains the seller’s personally identifiable information;

3. The entire feedback comment is a product review.

Finally, Maizi reminds everyone that if the Feedback left by the buyer in the background meets the deletion conditions stipulated by Amazon, the seller can directly select "Request Deletion" after the Feedback. Remember not to ask Amazon to delete it through other means. After all, "it's better to be safe than sorry"!
