Will Musk not let you down again? He promised to acquire Twitter by Friday!

It is learned that after months of changes and reversals, Musk has promised to spend $44.1 billion to buy Twitter by October 28 (this Friday). The acquisition may finally come to an end after 7 months of various changes. Reports show that the tycoon is preparing all the details to get the cash and complete the acquisition on Friday, October 28.

According to Bloomberg, Musk has spoken with investors and banks who will provide most of the funds for the acquisition. In a conference call on October 24, people familiar with the matter said that equity investors including Sequoia Capital, Binance, Qatar Investment Authority, etc. have received the necessary documents for funding commitments.

Likewise, banks including Morgan Stanley and Bank of America have committed $13 billion in debt financing to support the deal, while equity investors including Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison and Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal will contribute $7.1 billion.

The move is the clearest sign yet that the acquisition will be closed, and it shows that in order to avoid litigation, Musk plans to complete the deal before the deadline of the Delaware court. It is worth noting that the original offer of Tesla CEO to acquire Twitter was $46.5 billion, a premium of $54.20 per share.

Just a few weeks ago, the tycoon's lack of confirmation on Twitter's acquisition led several financiers to back out of purchase agreements, and Musk's latest announcement about mass layoffs also shocked investors.

It is learned that the news that Musk has acquired Twitter has been confirmed. Twitter's stock price rose by 2.47% to $52.78 per share. But according to Reuters, an internal study of Twitter showed a warning sign: its active users are abandoning Twitter. It is reported that since the outbreak of the epidemic, fewer and fewer active users have logged into Twitter.
