Testing Process

1. Reviewers and subject matter experts evaluate the dozens (or hundreds) of available products in each category and select a shortlist of the most promising and best-selling products.

2. Build your own testing equipment to evaluate products and test them against each other.

3. Before the audit process begins, we interview industry experts, contractors and other super users.

4. BestReviews considers the opinions of buyers who have invested money and time in using the product.

Team members

BestReviews was founded by entrepreneurs with thirty years of business experience. The company was incubated out of the Harvard Innovation Lab, and in addition to corporate experience, our senior management team has educational backgrounds from Harvard Business School, Stanford University, Berkeley University, Northwestern University, Notre Dame, West Point University, and the US Army's Air and Ranger Schools. They have also worked at Google, Tesla, Linkedin, and the US Army.

Financing

On February 8, 2018, TROnc agreed to pay a total of $66 million, consisting of $30 million in cash and $36 million in Tronc's common stock, for a 60% stake in BestReviews.
