One such trend is the call for a boycott of jewellery brand Tanishq. The jewellery brand had to withdraw a controversial ad in October after it came under heavy fire from Indian netizens on social media, with many jewellers blaming the company. On Tuesday, Amazon became the target of calls for a boycott by Indian netizens on Twitter. The incident originated from a doormat product sold by the seller. It is reported that the doormat product that caused Amazon to get into trouble has aroused the dissatisfaction and anger of many netizens because it carries the spiritual symbol "om". They believe that the doormat printed with "om" hurts the religious sentiments of Hindus. Therefore, #BoycottAmazon is one of the hot trends on Twitter now. The doormat is green in colour with a white and green 'Om' symbol and is described on Amazon as a 'Yoga Lotus doormat, rear front door mat, absorbent mud entrance' and is priced at €15.78 . However, it was not the Amazon India website that was caught up in the public opinion storm, but Amazon's websites in other countries, because this product did not appear on the Amazon India website.
