Amazon launches a heavy-handed crackdown on reviews! The FBA system continues to “slim down”

Today, Amazon issued an announcement stating that the first large-scale crackdown on fake reviews in 2023 is underway. At the end of February, four institutions suspected of brushing reviews had been sued and cracked down, affecting more than hundreds of thousands of ASINs!

The four fake order agencies include Amazon Feedback, AMZ Trusted Review, Blue Marple and Worke. These agencies claim that they have more than 15,000 fake order operators and sell reviews at prices ranging from US$5 to US$110 per review. AMZ Trusted Review is particularly arrogant. In addition to using technical means to crawl Amazon sellers' email addresses in batches and sending them emails to promote fake order services, this agency also provides more prohibited services that seriously violate Amazon policies.

These agencies not only sell positive reviews to help sellers get better ratings for their products, but they can also help sellers give fake one-star reviews to competitors' products.

Generally, Amazon’s lawsuits against fake order companies are all sued by the fake order companies to admit their mistakes and hand over the data. In the past, every time the fake order data was handed over, a large number of accounts were blocked and reviews were removed. In fact, even if the fake order company is stubborn, the number of fake order buyers caught by Amazon’s algorithm pollution rules will only increase, not decrease. If you hand over the data honestly, Amazon will cross-check the two lists to reduce the misjudgment in the algorithm list (and improve the algorithm). Even if you don’t hand over the data, Amazon can still use the algorithm list to block you.

Including some domestic ones involved in registration and buying and selling stores, they have become risk points under Amazon's recent crackdown. The news that the US site was often subject to a second review of videos some time ago was probably due to this influence.

Therefore, the recent period is still a high-risk period for illegal operations such as fake orders. Last year, Amazon made clear its attitude of fighting fake orders to the death. This year's wave of actions can only be bigger than last year. Everyone should be careful in the near future.

In addition, Amazon has recently made major moves on the FBA system, continuing to "slim down" the entire FBA system and shutting down more distribution facilities.

Amazon shuts down nearly 100 delivery facilities

An internal Amazon email intercepted by foreign media showed that as of the end of February, Amazon had canceled, closed or postponed 99 facilities across the United States this year, affecting nearly 32.3 million square feet of storage space in 30 states.
