Amazon officially notifies you! Europe and Japan begin to restrict warehouse entry!

Let’s start today’s main text.

◆ ◆ ◆ ◆

Yesterday afternoon, there were some rumors that the European and Japanese sites would soon implement the same shipping restrictions as the US site. Everyone rushed to create a shipping plan, but unexpectedly, when I came this morning, a lot of sellers’ temporary shipping plans were cancelled by Amazon.

Amazon's explanation was that it had detected an unusually large number of new planned operations, so it canceled these shipments, but the email did not mention whether there would be any restrictions on shipments.

Just when sellers were guessing what the authorities would do next, Amazon officially announced this afternoon that restrictions would be implemented on the European and Japanese sites!

This time, the restriction policies of Europe and Japan are consistent with those of the United States, and are also divided into two parts: one is the FBA storage space restriction, and the other is the ASIN-level shipping quantity restriction.

The storage space limit is the same as that in the United States, with the IPI score bottom line raised from 400 to 500 points, but the difference from the United States is in the implementation. The European and Japanese sites will begin to implement the latest IPI standards on September 1, and will conduct two score grabs on July 27 and August 24. As long as one of the two grabs meets the standard (more than 500 points), there will be no inventory capacity limit.

Secondly, the ASIN-level delivery quantity limit is the same as that of the US site, which is determined by the current sales volume and inventory quantity of the product. Amazon will keep most products in inventory that can be sold for more than 3 months. Sellers can view this quantity on the backend replenishment report page, and Amazon will regularly review and adjust the limit quantity based on actual conditions.

In addition, there is an additional event in the European and Japanese sites. Starting from July 24 (European site) and July 22 (Japanese site), Amazon will waive the removal fees for these two sites . If there are products that have been unsalable for a long time and occupy inventory quotas, they can be removed for free. Whether it is to make room for hot-selling products or to clear out redundancies to avoid high overage fees, you can take advantage of this free removal event.

According to official information, the first two restriction policies will be implemented until the end of this year, while the policy of removing free products does not say when it will end, but only says that "Amazon will notify you via email after the promotion ends."

Compared with the two stations in the United States, the logistics situation is not particularly serious. The recent logistics situation in the United States is really a new piece of news every day.

The current situation of US logistics is worrying

The recent logistics news in the United States is not optimistic. Recently, a freight forwarder announced that an infection broke out at the FedEx's largest transit station in Los Angeles. It is expected that the entire logistics center will be shut down for about a week. Currently, the station has a backlog of 500 to 1,000 containers, which will affect the entire West Coast distribution business.

FedEx currently has relatively low prices among several large logistics companies, so the infection at the FedEx logistics center will greatly affect the overall delivery time of sellers' products, and may increase the average logistics cost of the entire industry in a short period of time.

Due to the resurgence of the epidemic in the United States and anti-discrimination demonstrations in various places, UPS and FedEx have recently reduced the amount of pick-ups, and some areas have even suspended receiving goods. Coupled with Amazon's warehouse delays, all nodes at the beginning and end of the journey are already "full of goods." This is also the reason why Amazon hurriedly implemented the shipping restrictions.

Compared with the United States, the warehouse pressure in Japan and Europe is not particularly great. Except for a few warehouses in Japan that are overwhelmed, most warehouses are still stocking products normally. Moreover, because the epidemic is relatively well controlled, Europe and Japan will definitely resume shipping before the United States. At present, we just need to improve the IPI score to avoid restrictions.
