It is learned that according to foreign media reports, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recently announced the recall of Aqua lung brand diving computers. The reason for the recall is that the product may not be able to adjust to the altitude required by the user, and the calculation results displayed when the altitude exceeds 3,000 feet may be wrong, which will cause injury (decompression sickness) and drowning to the user.

The recalled products are Aqua lung model i330R scuba diving computers, the wrist device is black, with a bright color display and two button interface. Each product has "AQUA LUNG" printed on the front and back, and the model and serial number are also printed on the other side. The following is the specific recall information:

According to reports, the recalled products were produced in Taiwan, China, and were sold in the United States from May 2021 to March 2022. They were also sold on Amazon.com with a price range of US$400 to US$600. Approximately 16,400 units were sold.

It is worth noting that after issuing the emergency recall order, Alibaba International Station issued an announcement stating that the recalled products had been removed from the shelves and reminded sellers to comply with applicable laws, compliance requirements and recall rules in different markets.

It is learned that, as of now, Aqua lung has received 1 report about the product malfunctioning and displaying incorrect calculation results, and no casualties have been reported.
