Ecomz was founded by Rudy Bekerejian and Amer Tabbara in 2015. Like Shopify, it is an end-to-end e-commerce website management platform that enables merchants to build their mobile-optimized online stores and sell online. Merchants can use Ecomz's store builder to build their online stores.

The platform offers a variety of free and paid themes for merchants. Ecomz also offers a range of built-in store management applications and different integrations, including payment and shipping, which enable merchants to accept international gateway payments and deliver products worldwide. In addition, Ecomz's personalized insights engine allows merchants to identify store weaknesses and optimize performance.

The startup also offers new sales and distribution channels, including product sourcing and direct sales, a multi-supplier marketplace and multi-channel integration, enabling merchants to grow in new markets.

Ecomz follows a freemium model that allows merchants to set up their store for free with up to 100 products, but in this case, merchants have to pay 5% (transaction) and $1.5 as a transaction fee for each transaction. The cheapest paid subscription costs $24 per month and allows merchants to add up to 500 products to their store with no transaction fees.

Currently, the startup operates in more than 55 countries, serving more than 4,000 merchants and helping them generate more than $50 million in sales.
