Amazon recalls child seat in the US and Canada for non-compliant child seat

It is learned that according to foreign media reports, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the Canadian Ministry of Health recently jointly announced the recall of Simplay3 child seats made in China. The reason is that the seats may tip over during use, posing a risk of falling and injury to young children.

The recall involves the Simplay3 toddler seats, model number 41807. The seats come in a variety of colors, including espresso, white and gray. The Simplay3 name is printed on the seat's base and upper seat rail. 34" x 17.5" x 16". The model number is printed on the base of the tower.

To date, Simplay3 has received 16 reports of toddler towers tipping over while in use, including 10 reports of injuries, six of which were head contusions.

These toddler seats were sold on shopping websites such as TheSimplay3company.com, Amazon.com, Target.com, Walmart.com, and toy stores such as Buttercup Baby Store, Fun Stuff, and Midstates between November 2018 and June 2023, with a price of about $90. Among them, about 108,450 were sold in the United States and about 5,512 were sold in Canada.

The recall statement said consumers should immediately stop using the product, keep it away from children, and contact Simplay3 to receive a free set of stabilizing bases that attach to the toddler tower.
