According to the latest forecast from Insider Intelligence, by 2027, online retail sales in the United States will reach US$603.2 billion, accounting for 34.8% of total retail sales. It is worth noting that in the next few years, the US online retail market share will increase slightly from 33.5% (2023) to 34.8% (2027). In addition, the U.S. online retail market will reach $384.57 billion in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 10.2%. As the online boom fades, U.S. e-commerce sales growth will remain in the low single digits month-on-month in the next few years. Insider Intelligence also estimates that by 2027, Amazon will continue to lead with e-commerce sales of $277.91 billion. eBay will rank second with $35.41 billion. In third place is Walmart, with sales of $8.57 billion. It will be followed by Etsy ($7.87 billion) and Poshmark ($1.91 billion).
