The US Safety Commission urgently recalls this product! It is "Made in China"

It is learned that on May 20, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning urging consumers to immediately dispose of a product related to the BabyRescue rapid evacuation device because the product can easily cause babies to fall during use.

It is reported that the product is sold by a store called Safety International, which is available on platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, and Kmart. Safety International agreed to stop selling these evacuation devices in December 2021, but the company has not yet agreed to an acceptable recall.

CPSC staff's evaluation of this product, a single-use evacuation bag used to lower infants and young children from elevated locations in an emergency, determined that the bag could detach from the grip cord during use, posing a fall hazard to the child inside the bag.

The product comes in a zippered tote bag with "BABYRESCUE" printed on the outside. Located inside the tote is the evacuation bag with "BABYRESCUE" printed vertically on the outside. The product is sold in red, orange, and white and has a 60-foot yellow grip cord attached to the bag.

Some products also have a white "Made in China" label located on the inside seam of the evacuation bag near the mesh material, while others do not. The evacuation bag is not intended for children weighing more than 75 pounds.

There have been no safety incidents reported involving the BabyRescue rapid evacuation devices, and the CPSC is contacting known sellers and urging used sellers not to sell these products.
