According to data tracked by Adobe Analytics, as of 4 p.m. Eastern Time on June 22, 2021, Amazon's sales in the 24 hours since the start of the event are expected to exceed $5.6 billion , an increase of 1.3% year-on-year.   8.7% .

Among consumers who purchased smart home devices , 65% said they purchased Amazon’s own brand, while 38% of those who purchased household essentials and 33% of those who purchased clothing and footwear said the same. 52% of buyers only consider shopping on Amazon when making a purchase, while   48% considered other platforms and 19% compared prices before purchasing.


Most shoppers ( 61% ) shopped exclusively on Amazon this Prime Day, but one in five shopped elsewhere, and another 18% said they would do so again in the future.



Most shoppers knew about Prime Day before going to Amazon today, and for many, it was the main reason they shopped at Amazon . In previous years, 76%   Of those who shopped on Prime Day in 2020, 32 %   of people said they spent more this year, while 31%   of people indicated a decrease.


These shoppers also said they preferred this June’s Prime Day over last October’s, and 96% of Prime Day shoppers said they would be extremely likely to continue shopping with Amazon this year if the company were able to hold a second Prime Day.

 


Consumers said they purchased the most health and beauty related products , household essentials , gardening , consumer electronics   , as well as apparel and shoes . More than half of shoppers said they purchased items from Prime Day deals.
