eBay 123 learned that at the end of January this year, due to the severe weather in the East Coast of the United States, eBay announced that it would protect the performance ratings of sellers in the region. However, due to another storm that continued to affect the Midwest earlier this month and showed signs of moving toward the East Coast, eBay said it would continue to support and protect the ratings of all sellers affected by natural disasters.

In response, eBay recommends that sellers in affected areas who are unable to ship goods communicate with buyers in advance and inform them of the situation. If the expected order arrival time is delayed, sellers can extend the processing time of the listing. If the seller's business is affected, eBay will automatically protect the seller's performance indicators, including: delayed shipment rate, effective tracking order upload information, etc.

In addition, eBay will also remove any related negative and neutral feedback, which will not affect the seller's service indicator rating. Previously, the company said that due to weather events, the seller's dashboard may show that the seller has delayed shipment, but the system will remove it before the next seller performance evaluation.

However, when an item is marked as delayed but not removed, the seller may need to contact eBay customer service to request removal of the negative rating.
