According to foreign media reports, German express company DHL recently announced that it will open two logistics centers in Philadelphia and New Jersey, further expanding its logistics network in the United States. The new logistics center can handle more parcels and enable the delivery of goods as soon as possible.

The two new logistics centers will reportedly handle domestic cargo in the United States and international cargo from more than 220 countries and regions around the world. The new logistics centers have upgraded material handling equipment, which can increase the processing speed of imported packages by 50% and exports by 100%, and the first batch of cargo each day can be delivered 30 minutes earlier. At the same time, DHL will have 140 truck parking spaces in these two regions and hire more than 200 new employees.

The report said that the new logistics center in Philadelphia will be close to the city center and the international airport, covering an area of ​​144,785 square feet, and will focus on serving residents in the area. The new logistics center in New Jersey will cover a larger area of ​​238,872 square feet, increase package processing time, and will be sorted every morning and evening. In addition, it will also serve residents in northern Delaware, not just in the state.

Reiner Wolfs, vice president of DHL, said that DHL will strategically choose to expand in certain important markets to ensure that customers in these regions can get the best delivery experience. Both new logistics centers have signed ten-year leases, which means that they will develop in the United States for a long time to serve local residents.
