Amazon expands operations in the Netherlands! Launches electric car delivery service

It is learned that Amazon recently announced the launch of a fleet of electric delivery trucks in the Netherlands to take over its delivery work in the Netherlands.

It is reported that Amazon is building a distribution center near Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands, which will officially open this week to further expand its business in the Netherlands.

The distribution center was established to manage Amazon's deliveries in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Haarlem and Utrecht, and 200 Amazon (electric) vans will take over the delivery work in these areas. Goods outside the Randstad province will be delivered by a number of external companies.

Since the launch of Amazon Netherlands, it has formed a fierce competition with local websites such as Bol.com. Data shows that the most popular products sold on Amazon.nl are kitchenware, such as coffee machines, electronic products, household items and decorations, and sports equipment.

Karsten Frost, regional director for logistics, said the Netherlands offered an "interesting market" for the company and that Amazon would like to further expand its presence in the country.
