Peak season focus! Amazon adjusts the coupon usage rules again!

The year-end peak season is approaching, and Amazon has made new adjustments to its discount coupon policy!

This update means that customers can enjoy more discounts in a single order - no longer need to place orders in batches, just one order can complete the preferential settlement of multiple products!

This wave of changes will benefit both sellers and customers. Let’s take a look at the specific operational details and possible impacts of the new regulations.

Key points of Amazon coupon policy

① Multiple items can enjoy the same discount coupon

Under the latest regulations, customers can use the same percentage discount coupon on up to five items in one order, instead of just one coupon per item as before.

If you select "No limit on the number of times a customer can redeem" when creating a discount coupon, then the customer can enjoy the discount if they buy five items in one order.

② Practical example: How to get discounts on multiple items?

Suppose a customer gets a 10% discount coupon, which applies to every item.

So, if the customer buys three items, the total discount amount will be 10% x the total price of the three items.

What if you buy eight items? Only five items will be discounted, and the remaining three items will not be discounted.

This makes shopping more flexible and customers can more easily enjoy higher discounts.

③ No change in fixed amount discount coupons

This adjustment does not apply to “fixed amount discount coupons” (such as coupons with direct reduction amounts).

Even if you select "No limit on the number of times customers can redeem", a fixed amount discount can still only be used once in a single order.

Impact on sellers and customers

Amazon's rule update is beneficial to both sellers and customers:

a. Improve customer loyalty : The new policy makes the customer experience more user-friendly. The convenience of settling multiple items with one order will lead to more repurchases and loyalty, especially in categories with high average order value and multiple items.

b. Reduced logistics costs for sellers: Changes in discount rules may help sellers reduce the hassle of handling multiple orders, especially during peak seasons, so that they can plan logistics more efficiently and reduce transportation costs.

c. Improved operational efficiency: Sellers no longer need to process multiple orders because customers place orders in batches. The new policy can help sellers optimize their operational processes, so that they can devote more energy to other strategies and directly improve overall efficiency.

In short, Amazon’s adjustment of discount coupon rules not only optimizes the user experience, but also allows sellers to arrange various affairs during the peak season more orderly.

Seller friends may wish to take advantage of this policy change to optimize their promotional activities and boost sales during the peak season!
