About FNSKU

FNSKU is different from SKU. It is the product label code of FBA. Only products that do FBA have it. One SKU of a product that does FBA corresponds to one FNSKU. If there are multiple sellers selling products with the same ASIN, their FNSKU may be the same as ASIN. When FNSKU and ASIN are the same, it means that the seller has selected the manufacturer + merchant code when selecting the barcode, which means that the product does not need to be labeled (Manufacture barCODe) and is mixed with other sellers' products with the same ASIN. This is why the goods that customers receive when placing an order with you are not the ones you sent to FBA. If FNSKU and ASIN are different, it means that the Amazon label (Amazon barcode) is selected, then all FNSKUs are different, and Amazon will not mix the seller's products.

Note: The FNSKU corresponding to the same SKU may be adjusted due to product performance or related platform policy issues. For example, mixed inventory was supported at the beginning (that is, the code is the same as ASIN), but later it was not supported and needed to be changed to a label starting with X, etc. This is also one of the reasons why the same seller has two FBA SKUs appearing on the same product page at the same time.

How to convert manufacturing codes into Amazon barcodes

1. Check the Amazon Logistics+ in the settings, and check if the Amazon barcode is selected on the FBA Product Barcode Preference tab.

2. After following one sale, transfer to FBA again, or delete the original listing, upload it with a new UPC and then transfer it to FBA for shipment.

What are the two types of FNSKU?

Currently we have two types of FNSKU: Manufacturer BarCODe and Amazon Barcode. In other words, FNSKU starts with B0 or ​​X0.

1. Manufacturer Barcode is the barcode that comes with the product, such as the original manufacturer + UPC. Amazon Barcode is the FNSKU product label that Amazon generates for you. This is different from the labeling service in FBA settings. If you choose the manufacturer's barcode, you don't need to put FNSKU, just UPC or EAN.

2. Amazon Barcode: Amazon label code. According to seller feedback: When the first letter of FNSKU starts with X00, the seller can label the product by himself. When the first letter of FNSKU starts with B00, the seller does not need to label the product and can ship the product directly to Amazon. To adjust the product to be labeled by the seller himself, go to Amazon Logistics + Settings - Amazon Logistics Product Barcode Preferences - Manufacturer Barcode and select "Disabled Status". Products with B00 that were previously uploaded can be re-sold. When the FNSKU starting with X00 appears, follow the steps for FBA shipment. You can then print the label.
