Yoast was founded in 2005 by Joost de Valk, originally as joostdevalk.nl.

de Valk founded the Yoast platform in 2009 and Yoast BV in 2010.

Initially, Yoast focused on SEO consulting.

In 2008, YOAST started as a WordPress SEO plugin.

In 2012, Yoast expanded to offer premium models for WordPress. It sells several plugins, and its most popular plugins are Yoast SEO for WordPress and Google Analytics for WordPress.

As of April 2016, the Google Analytics for WordPress plugin was acquired by Syed Moiz Balkhi.

Yoast is rated “out of 5” by Syed Moiz Balkhi, founder of WPBeginner.

WordPress users at GoDaddy and Forbes praise it as one of the most powerful applications available.

Function

1. SEO Title & Meta Tags

You can make article titles and optimize meta descriptions

2. Analysis of SEO effect of internal pages

Can perform keyword analysis, title, meta description, full text length, internal links, and external links analysis

3. Social media optimization - including adding social media information of websites and article authors to improve the display information and effect when sharing website content on social media

4. Add an XML sitemap

Sitemaps list the important pages of a website to help search engines discover, crawl pages and understand the website structure.

5. Webmaster tool verification

Webmaster tools are the "SEO management tools" provided by search engines to website webmasters. Google's webmaster tools are Google Search Console, and Baidu's webmaster tools are Baidu Search Resource Platform.
