introduce

Feedly is an RSS subscription tool that aggregates various online resources in user-defined news feeds, and its extension tools can make these resources into a customized interface and display them in a magazine style. You can also change the layout, color, and category of the interface itself, like your favorite articles or comments, and these articles can be shared via email, Facebook, Google+, Tumblr, Twitter and other services. Feedly also has a mobile version, but it is different from the version used on the browser. Feedly's app cannot load an entire article, but will present its summary and link to the article on the browser. The app also recommends articles based on what the user has read or shared in the past.

Function Introduction

Supports subscription to websites that are not accessible abroad.

It supports multiple platforms and can be used on multiple client platforms such as iOS, Android, Mac, Windows and web version, and the synchronization speed is very fast.

The recommendation mechanism provides related favorites and other subscription source recommendations on the subscription source page, making it easy to discover other similar high-quality subscription sources.

It supports word-by-word search and word-by-word translation. You can select part of the text to search on Google or in Feedly. The search results based on Feedly are from the subscription source, and the search results of the word in Google News will also be displayed.

develop

On March 15, 2013, in response to the announcement of Google Reader's closure, Feedly announced 500,000 new users in 48 hours.

By April 2, 2013, the total number of new users reached 3 million.

As of the end of May 2013, the total number of users reached 12 million.

On November 8, 2013, Feedly disabled OAuth login and forced users to use Google+ authentication.

Feedly suffered a severe denial-of-service attack from June 11 to 13, 2014, which prevented users from accessing their information. The attackers demanded a ransom from Feedly, which Feedly refused to pay.
