Shein was accused of having incomplete labor system statements on its official website and forging factory certifications!

It is learned that fast fashion e-commerce giant Shein has recently been accused of failing to disclose its complete labor system supply chain working conditions in accordance with British law. Subsequently, Shein falsely stated on its website that the factory conditions it uses are certified by international labor standards organizations.

It is reported that Shein only stated on its official website's "Social Responsibility" page: "Never employ child labor or forced labor", but did not provide the complete labor system supply chain information required by British law. According to British law, companies with annual global sales of more than 36 million pounds must provide a searchable link statement in a prominent position on their homepage.

Until recently, Shein stated on its website that the factories it works with are certified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and that Shein complies with standards set by international organizations such as Social Accountability International.

However, an ISO spokesperson said that they do not recognize or certify any company. ISO only sets standards and does not certify itself. At the same time, Social Accountability International also said that they have no connection with Shein.

After being inquired by foreign media, Shein removed the original page and the new page no longer had ISO or SA8000 certifications.
