The shopping cart disappeared and the win rate dropped to 57%. It is so difficult for sellers who ship their goods themselves!

Amazon sellers must know the importance of shopping carts. With shopping carts, sellers' products will have higher exposure and conversion rates.

Recently, in the seller communication group, many sellers reported that their shopping carts disappeared for no reason . At the same time, the shopping cart win rate also showed a significant decline.

After investigation, the editor found that quite a few sellers have encountered shopping cart disappearance. The problem of shopping cart disappearance can be traced back to mid-to-late May. Since last month, many sellers have reported that their store's shopping cart and winning rate have been abnormal.

"Comrades, how are your shopping carts?"

“It was all gone overnight.”

"I was still placing orders on the 14th, but on the 18th I found that even the shopping cart was gone."

“All shopping carts are gone, no performance issues, no infringement.”

Sellers who have encountered shopping carts disappearing for no reason have expressed their confusion. Their stores were working fine, so why did the shopping carts suddenly disappear?

From the current perspective, this kind of problem occurs more frequently among sellers who ship their own goods.

The importance of shopping carts to sellers is self-evident. 90% of the sales generated by Amazon each year come from shopping carts . If shopping carts disappear, the most direct impact on sellers is that the conversion rate of products will drop sharply , resulting in heavy losses. At the same time, sellers will not be able to place advertisements on the site.

A seller explained: The buy button win rate is the ratio of the shopping cart in your hands. If it is 100%, it means that the shopping cart is definitely in your hands. In this way, Amazon buyers will give priority to buying your products first. If it is not 100%, it means that the shopping cart is not in your hands and you have to compete.

Therefore, the shopping cart and purchase win rate are very important for sellers. When such a situation is discovered, sellers should deal with it in a timely manner.

As we all know, the win rate of FBA's inventory purchase button is usually above 90%. If there is a significant drop in the win rate, it is largely due to copycat sales.

However, according to feedback from most sellers, they have not been copied by others, have not raised prices, and have not violated relevant regulations. So why do the shopping carts and win rates disappear and decrease?

Some sellers summarize the factors for obtaining shopping carts:
1. Delivery method.
2. Product price.
3. Seller rating.
4. Delivery time.
5. Number of historical orders.

Generally speaking, there are several reasons why Amazon shopping cart disappears:

1. The price adjustment is unreasonable.

2. Change listing information at will.

3. Too many negative reviews lead to poor listing performance.

4. Complaints or reports by Amazon buyers.

5. FBA is out of stock (insufficient inventory).

Regarding the issue of shopping cart disappearance and decreased win rate, some sellers speculated that perhaps Amazon made changes to the shopping cart algorithm.

According to the screenshots, the seller delayed the order due to logistics problems, resulting in an increase in refunds, which caused the store's shopping cart to almost disappear. The high order cancellation rate may also be one of the reasons for the disappearance of shopping carts and the decline in win rates.

Some sellers also analyzed that out-of-stock situations will lead to a decrease in shopping cart share.

Although it has not been officially confirmed yet, based on the feedback from sellers, the reasons for the disappearance of a large number of shopping carts and the decline in winning rates for Amazon sellers are as follows, for reference only:

1. The cancellation rate of self-delivered orders is high (due to logistics delays, etc.).

2. Out of stock leads to a decrease in shopping cart share.

3. Amazon's shopping cart algorithm has changed.

Once the cause is found, the seller can prescribe the right remedy and strive to restore the shopping cart as soon as possible to win the rate and avoid the negative impact caused by it.

In this case, the seller can also try the following methods to retrieve the shopping cart:

1. Check whether the product is being copied.

2. Open a case and consult customer service.

3. Adjust reasonable prices.

4. Optimize listings reasonably.

5. Ensure sufficient FBA inventory.

2020 is destined to be an eventful year. For cross-border sellers, legal operation is important, and Amazon's policies are also important. I hope sellers can find out the reasons and return to normal as soon as possible.
