Shopee International Platform (SIP) refers to Shopee's global sales platform, which aims to help sellers sell Taiwanese products to other sites in Southeast Asia without any additional fees. Sellers only need to ship on time and collect payments, and Shopee will take care of the rest, including customer service, delivery, promotion, product management, and store decoration.

About SIP

In simple terms, after activating SIP, you can synchronize the products on the Taiwan site to the other six sites, which is equivalent to selling your products on the seven Shopee sites at the same time.

Why does Shopee need SIP?

The existence of SIP is to help many sellers who are not suitable for cross-border e-commerce to do cross-border e-commerce. Shopee’s first station is Taiwan because Taiwan is easy to do business. For example, the language and customs are very similar to ours, which increases the probability of placing orders. When opening other stations later, due to language problems, Shopee launched the SIP function.

Benefits of SIP

1. Product information is automatically translated and synchronized to non-Taiwan sites without manual provision. Shopee language experts are responsible for communicating with buyers on issues.

2. All non-Taiwan sites are operated by Shopee, which is responsible for a series of processes including product management and marketing activities. You only need to be responsible for shipping.

3. Like the Taiwan site, you can use the SLS service. Just send the items in the order to the Shopee warehouse, and Shopee will deliver the goods to the customer.

4. The professional teams at each major Shopee site have access to massive amounts of market information, decorate stores and design promotions to suit local characteristics.

5. Currently, the SIP project does not charge sellers any additional fees. Only transaction fees and commissions are deducted for each order.

How to Join SIP

To join SIP, two conditions must be met:

1. A domestic trade seller in China;

2. Shopee’s first site was in Taiwan.

If you meet the requirements, you will receive the following terms in the Taiwan site backend. Please read and check "I have read and confirmed that I have been given sufficient opportunity to understand the content of the Terms of Use", click "Accept", and you can activate the SIP service. The 6 sites will be automatically activated, and your Taiwan backend can see the order/account information of the other 6 sites.

SIP Process

Basically, you only need to operate the Taiwan store well, ship the goods after the orders are placed from other sites, and then wait for payment.

SIP Backend Operation Guide

1. Basic information:

The system will directly synchronize or automatically translate product titles, descriptions, categories, weights, delivery methods, etc. into local languages. Customer communication issues will be handled by Shopee’s professional language experts.

After opening Shopee One Store, other sites will be operated by Shopee, which will be responsible for a series of processes such as product management and marketing activities. Sellers only need to be responsible for product shipment services.

We will provide you with product selection suggestions and operation information every week to help you gain a deeper understanding of the market, accurately list products, and easily create hot-selling items.

2. Product inventory: Shopee will allocate inventory to each site while ensuring sufficient inventory at the Taiwan site.

3. Product prices: At non-Taiwan sites, they will be adjusted based on price adjustment ratios, product storage prices and other factors, and will be automatically converted into local currency at the latest exchange rate.

The calculation method for settlement unit price at non-Taiwan sites is: Settlement unit price (TWD) = (product Taiwan selling price - Taiwan storage price) * price adjustment ratio.

In addition to the price adjustment ratio mentioned above, another factor that determines the settlement price is (product Taiwan selling price - Taiwan storage price), i.e. the net selling price (Net Price). You can set the Taiwan selling price yourself, while the Taiwan storage price is determined by the weight of the product.
