This sentence once replaced "Have you eaten?" and became the daily greeting among sellers. This shows how frequent bugs are on Amazon's platform, and they lack the awareness of a technology company at all.


Today, the little clone received a tip-off from the sellers in the communication group that the front desk started to act weird again, but this time the form of the act made the sellers laugh and cry.

Today's front desk BUG is that the system has forcibly stuffed in a bunch of brand logos and even inexplicable icons that have nothing to do with the store, just like the situation below.



Even the categories on the left have become the names of these brands.



Think about it, it is impossible that Amazon received advertising fees from them to promote these brands, so everyone guessed that it was a system malfunction, but this unique way of malfunctioning is the first time I have seen it.


The wind that Amazon has blown in those years

One of them happened recently when the US site backend sent a reminder to all sellers that they needed to change their payment information.



However, when clicking on the notification to change the payment information, an error message will appear, leaving the seller at a loss for a moment. The trouble with this matter is that this notification is caused by a system bug, and the backend does not allow the seller to change the payment information. In this case, if the seller changes it through other channels, it will trigger an audit.

Another thing is the leakage of sellers’ information. A large number of sellers’ email addresses were exposed. Amazon also sent an email to everyone asking them not to panic.



This incident is not a big deal, and although Amazon has notified sellers that they don’t need to be too nervous and do anything about it, it is scary when you consider the phishing email incident that occurred before Amazon announced the leak.


The phishing scammers got the leaked sellers' email addresses. It is conceivable that some sellers would be fooled and have their account and password stolen. The hard-earned money they spent half a day was transferred away by the scammers. No one would be able to bear this.




Amazon has always been a platform with frequent bugs, which is very different from Alibaba in China. Even the system notification requires sellers to identify whether it is a bug.
