Amazon Summit: Amazon's commission fees are reduced for the first time

Amazon has high costs, which is a disadvantage of the platform that sellers have reached a consensus on. There are monthly rents, commissions for using FBA, and various warehousing and logistics fees, etc. Selling a product worth more than ten dollars, after deductions, you only make more than ten yuan, which is common for Amazon sellers.

Faced with such high costs, sellers will cut costs at every stage. As long as they can save a little, it will be pure profit.

Today is the first day of the Amazon China Seller Summit in Ningbo. Amazon also released great news for sellers today! It directly cut a big part of the sellers' costs by more than half!

Referral Fee Discount

That’s right, this 60% off fee is one of the costs just mentioned, and it is almost unavoidable - the platform commission

If you sell products on Amazon with the Professional Plan, you must pay a sales commission for each item sold. The commission rate varies from category to category, ranging from 6% to 20%, and there are even categories with commission rates as high as 45% (Amazon device accessories).

This kind of unavoidable cost has always been a headache for sellers, but now my brother-in-law is giving you a 40% discount!

You can click on the link in the background to see if you have a compliant ASIN.

Please note that this commission discount activity is only available to sellers who use the Seller Fulfilled Prime (SFP) service! Sellers who are not familiar with this service can check out our previous article by clicking the link below.

If you don’t want to pay high FBA fees, you can do this

Sellers who have joined SFP can directly check whether there are products that meet the activity conditions. Here Amazon will automatically screen out products that are highly accepted by consumers and are more popular. All you have to do is add these products to the SFP plan if there are selected products to automatically enjoy the commission rate discount.

The discount details can be viewed in the Payment Report. Since the commission point is calculated based on the total amount of the consumer's purchase (including the product price and all shipping and gift wrapping fees), the commission discount is also deducted on this basis.

There is no commission discount, and the commission needs to be deducted by US$7.5

Participated in the commission discount, only 3 US dollars will be deducted

The money saved is real profit, so sellers who have participated in SFP should not miss this opportunity. This discount event ends on February 28, 2019. Sellers who have qualified products should hurry up and participate.

Because the deadline is in 3 months, and joining SFP has high requirements and requires a one-month trial period, sellers who have not used SFP should still consider it based on their own circumstances.

As mentioned in the previous article, SFP is a very competitive program, especially as FBA fees are getting higher and higher. Sellers who have the conditions can consider the combination of overseas warehouses and SFP to get the same privileges as FBA, but the fees are much cheaper than FBA.
