There is a risk of burns! More than one million pairs of oven gloves are urgently recalled by the US CPSC

It is learned that recently, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a recall notice, recalling more than one million pairs of Temp-tations brand oven gloves. The reason for the recall is that the product has safety hazards. Consumers have reported many burn accidents caused by the lack of adequate heat protection of oven gloves during use.

According to the recall notice, Temp-tations oven gloves fail to provide adequate heat protection and pose a risk of burns. The CPSC has received 162 reports of insufficient heat protection for this oven mitt, 92 of which involved minor burns.

The recall involves approximately 1.1 million pairs of oven mitts. The mitts come in a variety of colors, including blue, yellow, red, floral and summer shell patterns. The mittens are made of cotton and spandex materials and cost about $4 to $13 per pair. They were sold primarily through e-commerce platforms such as the QVC website, QVC TV shows and QVC digital shopping from August 2018 to August 2024. The label sewn on the inside of the mitten reads "Temp-tations by Tara."

The CPSC recommends that you stop using these oven gloves immediately and contact the brand for a refund. The CPSC also lists the model numbers of each affected product : K51459, K76398, K47973, K48879, K85322, K96004, K92603, K308719, K309220, K309388 and K309516.
