Newegg Partners with Likewize to Launch Consumer Protection Program

It is learned that according to foreign media reports, the US electronic technology products e-commerce platform Newegg recently cooperated with the technology protection company Likewize to launch a purchase protection plan for consumers.

Through the partnership, shoppers can choose to purchase Likewize protection plans as an add-on when purchasing eligible products on the Newegg website and app. The protection plan covers a wide range of products, including laptops, desktops, tablets, PC components, mobile phones and TVs.

In addition, products under Newegg's "Newegg Refreshed" program, such as second-hand iPhones, iPads and MacBooks, also enjoy Likewize purchase protection.

Unlike standard manufacturer warranties, Likewize protection plans offer a wider range of extended warranty services, including protection against defects, malfunctions, and power surges. In addition, some products also provide accidental damage protection. Newegg specifically pointed out that all Advanced Battlestations (ABS) PCs (i.e. Newegg gaming desktop computer systems) are covered by a one-year warranty provided by Likewize.

It’s worth mentioning that not all products qualify for the Likewize protection plan, and excluded products include most non-tech products, ink and toner, cables, and digital items.
