Walmart Open Call event is open for application! Support platform sellers to sell in-store

According to foreign media reports, applications for Walmart's 10th annual "Open Call" event have been opened. Through this event, sellers on Walmart's website will have the opportunity to sell their products in Walmart or Sam's Club.

Walmart said the "Open Call" event will be held from October 24 to 25, and sellers who want to participate must apply by August 18.

This will be explained by the retail giant: "Walmart is looking for small businesses and American manufacturers because they have new, innovative, shelf-ready value products that meet the needs of our customers and members. If your products are made, grown or assembled in the United States and you want the opportunity to display your products at 'Open Call 2023', please apply to join the event now. This year's event will be a hybrid format, offering both virtual and in-person options."

According to reports, the "Open Call" campaign began in 2014, when Walmart first opened its doors to more than 500 businesses. Since then, the number of companies joining the "Open Call" has continued to increase, with more than 1,100 small and medium-sized businesses participating last year-making the 2022 "Open Call" Walmart's largest to date.

Walmart’s 2023 Open Call event is powered by ECRM Connect and RangeMe, a product discovery and sourcing platform. Walmart will conduct 30-minute one-on-one meetings with hundreds of businesses to secure product for Sam’s Club, Walmart.com and Walmart Marketplace.

In addition to the presentations, the one-day event includes a series of breakout sessions designed to inform, empower and encourage business owners of all sizes. Many sessions are open to the public to enable more businesses to participate in the Open Call. And no matter where a business is located, it is convenient to participate.

It is understood that this event will not allow sellers in the following categories to become suppliers, including books, livestock, ingredients containing CBD or hemp, and products that do not strictly comply with the United States Pharmacopeia, etc.
