Etsy partners with British courier company Evri to launch new cross-border shipping solutions!

It is learned that recently, Etsy announced a partnership with British express company Evri (formerly known as Hermes) to provide new shipping solutions for sellers who are unable to send international packages through the Royal Mail.

Etsy says: “Sellers will receive a 10% discount when they use Evri to ship internationally and use the code ETSY10* at checkout. If you have multiple packages to ship, you can use Evri’s send-a-parcel option or link your Etsy account with Evri for bulk shipping.” (The offer expires March 1, 2023.)

It is learned that just two weeks ago, the Royal Mail temporarily closed its export services due to a cyber attack. At present, although the company has resumed the delivery of international letters and some international parcels, it still advises customers not to submit any new tracked (standard/economy) export parcels.

Etsy also issued an important reminder that when sellers purchase shipping labels from somewhere other than Shop Manager, they need to:

  • Add Tracking: Remember to add your tracking number before marking your order as complete.

If the seller has fulfilled the order, they can go back and add tracking information (learn how in the Help Center).

  • Mark as completed: Once you've delivered your order to the carrier, manually mark it as completed on the Orders and Deliveries page.

When a seller completes an order, Etsy automatically sends the buyer an email letting them know the item is on its way.
