AMVO pointed out that consumers' preference for buying clothing through e-commerce is growing steadily, especially during the promotional season. Online clothing and footwear sellers also recognize that promotional events are the best opportunity to offer and launch new product lines, as well as an opportunity to reach new customers and build customer loyalty. This year, the Mexico Hot Sale will take place from May 23 to 31, and AMVO expects to exceed 2021's sales of 18.557 billion pesos, with fashion retailers being the most influential players. AMVO offers some suggestions to make online retailers more accessible and engaging to consumers: Integration of competitive payment solutions: Retailers that offer different payment methods and facilities will attract the most consumers, some of which are “buy now, pay later” solutions, with deferred payments without the need for a credit card. Simplify the return process: During the peak sales season, the online return rate is as high as 30%, and fashion categories are the hardest hit, so it is necessary for retailers to provide an efficient return strategy.
