It is learned that according to foreign media reports, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Eagle Industries Tactical Equipment Company (Eagle Industry) recently jointly recalled elevated garage storage racks sold on multiple websites such as Amazon and Costco. The reason for the recall is that the storage racks may have defects and fall from the ceiling, posing a risk of impact. It is reported that the recalled storage racks are storage racks suspended from the ceiling of the garage, using the beams above the ceiling as supports. The height can be adjusted and there are seven sizes, including: 4 feet * 4 feet, 4 feet * 8 feet, 2 feet * 6 feet, 3 feet * 6 feet, 4 feet * 6 feet, 3 feet * 8 feet and 2 feet * 8 feet. Eagle Industry has received 55 reports of falling storage racks, including one report of a shelf falling and scratching a consumer's face, the report said. It is learned that these storage racks were sold on Costco.com, amazon.com, saferacks.com, monsterrax.com and other shopping websites from September 2021 to December 2021, with a price of about US$140 and approximately 12,800 units sold. As a remedy for this recall, buyers need to contact Eagle Industry to receive a free replacement bolt. Eagle Industry is in the process of contacting all buyers.
