There is a risk of choking! Domestic "musical instrument sets" are recalled!

According to foreign media reports, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of the Crate and Barrel Be the Band instrument set on March 2. The reason for the recall is that during use, the maracas in the set may be twisted or broken, thereby releasing metal balls, which may cause choking risks if young children are accidentally injured.

The recalled music set reportedly contains a table about 19 inches high and 26 inches wide, with drum pads and drumsticks, cymbals, maracas, xylophone keys, and maracas percussion instruments, suitable for children aged 3 and above. It is learned that the instrument set is "Made in China" and the importer is Euromarket Designs Inc., d/b/a Crate and Barrel. The product was sold on www.crateandbarrel.com from September 2021 to January 2022, with a price of approximately US$200, and 620 units have been sold.

The CPSC has received six reports of maracas being twisted or broken, with no reports of injuries. However, the CPSC still recommends that buyers stop using the music set immediately and contact Crate and Barrel for a full refund. Crate and Barrel is also actively contacting and searching for buyers.
