According to Algolia’s research, online searches in the U.S. increased 5% year-over-year to 12.4 billion during this year’s Cyber Week. Algolia’s partner Shopify has seen a 72% year-over-year increase in searches since 2020.

In addition, according to a survey by Dynata, more than half (52%) of American consumers said that they would add the products they like to their shopping carts as product bookmarks and use them to search for them on other websites; among millennials and Generation Z, this proportion was 63% and 60% respectively.
