Alibaba’s U.S. business has grown 150% in the past 18 months, according to the National Bureau of Economic Research, with 600,000 new businesses added, a third of which are emerging online startups.

It is understood that the past epidemic has put many small and medium-sized enterprises in trouble, accumulating a large number of unsalable products. Alibaba will cooperate with direct sales companies including Modalyst, Spocket, Syncee, etc. to launch a new direct sales service to help these small and medium-sized enterprises get rid of inventory expenses and increase product sales.

In addition, Alibaba.com will also launch a $500,000 grant program in partnership with Hello Alice, a small business resource platform. It is reported that all Alibaba account holders with "innovative product ideas or market strategies" are eligible to apply for the program before October 21. The list of winners will be announced in December, with a total of 50 winners, each of whom will receive a reward of $10,000.
