Following the United States Postal Service, FedEx also announced its peak season surcharge!

It is learned that following the United States Postal Service, FedEx also recently announced a new round of holiday (peak season) surcharges. The company said that the surcharges will continue to make an important contribution to their peak period in fiscal 2022.

It is reported that FedEx surcharges are divided into two categories. One set of surcharges applies to all shippers, while the other set of surcharges only applies to high-volume shippers. Most small businesses fall into the first category, as follows:

The second type of peak surcharge applies to customers who ship more than 25,000 packages per week. FedEx uses a more complex "peak factor" calculation for this fee. Shippers who fall into this category can view detailed information on the FedEx website or contact FedEx personnel for more information.

In fact, adding surcharges during the holiday season has become commonplace among peers, who need the extra revenue to cover the increased operating costs during this period.

It is reported that the U.S. Postal Service announced the surcharges a few days ago, and these surcharges are still requesting final approval from the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC). UPS and DHL have not yet announced their peak season surcharges, and both carriers are expected to announce them soon. The only thing that is certain is that these surcharges will affect all sellers.
