How do lawyers check Amazon brand blacklist?

Find a lawyer's name

Open the website of the United States Trademark Office, https://www.uspto.gov/

Copy the serial number, or if you have an R-mark certificate, it will be on it.

Then come to TSDR, https://tsdr.uspto.gov/

Enter the serial number of the trademark in the blank and click Status to verify the trademark status.

Find the Attorney column and you can see the lawyer’s detailed information, including name, phone number, email address, and address.

Enter the ABA (American Bar Association) website:

Select the state where the attorney is registered and click on The State Bar of California - Find Legal Help

There may be many search results with the same name. We can narrow the scope by combining the city and find the corresponding lawyer.

Enter the lawyer's name in Look Up a Lawyer and click Search.

By clicking on the lawyer's name, you can view the lawyer's professional license, penalty record and other relevant information.

Check whether the trademark status is abnormal

What should you do if you are caught by a “black lawyer”?

Change of attorney:

1. Regardless of whether your brand functions have been restricted, you can change your attorney. After the change, the risk of being convicted of brand abuse will be much lower and it will not be easy to be detected by the Amazon system.

2. You can find the original trademark service provider to change lawyers, and the charging standards are different.

3. For popular links, you can register a new brand with the same name but in a different category and register it in the Amazon store to prevent the link from being removed due to being found to be abused.
