Registration information was stolen and the seller’s 60,000 yuan of funds were frozen

The incident was initially caused by infringement. Li (pseudonym) received a court notice from GBC, and was found to have committed infringement, and his store funds were frozen. However, after Li checked, there was no corresponding product in the historical orders, and when he contacted GBC to obtain the corresponding infringement evidence, the store in the information was not owned by Li.

A week after the GBC incident, Li received another email about the closure of the store. The store's information was stolen from him ...

In the email received by Li, the name of the store was the same as his company's name in pinyin, which was a strange coincidence. Li looked for the service provider to find out the reason behind it, and met a person who claimed to be an "Amazon insider". After checking, he found that except for the mobile phone number, email address, and credit card, the other registration information of the other store was all his information. Only then did Li know that the legal person's information had been stolen.

Normally, one set of information can only register one store. How did the other party successfully register and operate it for two months ? I asked the investment manager and learned that " as long as the email address provided has not been registered with Amazon, there is a way to register two stores with the same set of legal person information. But this requires luck. Some people may trigger the association directly when they just register. If they are lucky, they can operate it secretly for a while until something goes wrong with the store, which will trigger an audit and cause the association to be closed. "

Moreover, Li later learned that the other party’s store was closed due to complaints from buyers. Combined with the various tricks in the cross-border circle, Li suspected that it was a gang that stole other people’s information to register a store specifically for selling and testing products.

Li's first reaction was to call the police, but because he didn't know the other party's detailed information, he could only ask Amazon to cooperate with the investigation based on the police receipt. However, Amazon's customer service staff did not cooperate and refused to disclose the contact information of the corresponding department, so the matter has not made any progress.

At the same time, Li realized another serious problem. After being reminded by the service provider, Li realized that registering on Amazon required postcard address verification, so he paid the service provider to check the postcard delivery address submitted to Amazon, and it turned out to be the address on his company's business license.

According to Li, the company address is a virtual address, and there is no way to receive express delivery. The service provider explained : " If you encounter a high-powered investment manager, you can register and open a store through a link that does not require postcard address verification . " This surprised Li even more.

I quit my job and started working on Amazon for half a year, but ended up encountering this kind of thing, and the 60,000 yuan I worked so hard to earn was just wasted. In the final analysis, it was because there were too many loopholes in the Amazon platform that gave criminals an opportunity to take advantage of it.

Li is not the only one whose store has been registered repeatedly . Many sellers have also encountered similar problems. The cause of such incidents is information theft.
