Wish launches flat-rate shipping service for US customers

It is learned that on February 1, Wish announced that it will launch a new $2.99 flat shipping fee in stages, which will apply to all orders over $10 that are eligible for flat shipping, and merchants do not need to pay additional fees.

Wish said the flat-rate shipping rates were rolled out to app users in the United States this month and will be rolled out in phases to Wish's other major markets by the end of March.

The move is part of a broader effort to improve the Wish shipping experience, which has seen a significant increase in on-time delivery rates (94%) and a significant reduction in arrival times (15 days in key markets) in the past six months alone.

“Shipping costs have been a major pain point for our users for some time, so we’re excited to have found a flat-rate shipping solution that not only provides great value to our customers, but also comes at no additional cost to our merchants,” said Mauricio Monico, Chief Business Officer of Product at Wish.

According to Monico, approximately 85% of Wish’s product listings are currently eligible for flat-rate shipping, and Wish plans to include product listings in this program in the coming months and by the end of the year.

It’s worth noting that the flat shipping rate does not apply to Wish’s “Delivery to Store” or “Express Delivery” services, which are currently only available through the Wish app on iOS and Android, and will be expanded to all channels in the future.
