What is Listing? Listing Review

Listing is a product page, one page for each product. Simply put, it is uploading product information to the seller's backend. Specifically, it includes title, price, description, pictures, etc. Listing optimization is an issue that is emphasized in various Amazon trainings.

Image Definition

Every product uploaded on Amazon must be accompanied by one or more clear, intuitive, and easy-to-understand product pictures. Listing pictures are divided into main pictures and auxiliary pictures.

Product main image standard

1. Images must accurately represent the merchandise and only show the merchandise for sale, with minimal or no support.

2. The product and all its features must be clearly visible.

3. The main image must use a pure white background (pure white can blend in with Amazon search and product detail pages - RGB color values are 255, 255, 255).

4. The main image must be a professional photo of the actual product (not graphics, illustrations, physical models or placeholders). It must not show accessories that are not included, supports that may confuse buyers, text or logos/watermarks/embedded images that are not part of the product.

5. The main image must not show multiple views of the same product.

6. The picture must match the product title.

7. The product must occupy at least 85% of the image area.

8. The resolution of the image must be higher than 72 dpi.

9. Amazon accepts JPEG (.jpg), TIFF (.tif), or GIF (.gif) file formats, but JPEG is recommended.

10. Products must not be placed on mannequins, except for stockings or socks.

11. Images must not be blurry, pixelated, have jagged edges, or be cropped along the edges of the frame.

12. If the product is on a model, the model must be standing (not sitting, kneeling, reclining, lying flat or in other postures).

13. The products in the pictures must have been removed from the packaging or have no external brand labels (except stockings or socks).

14. Images must not contain nudity or be sexually suggestive.

Product auxiliary image standards

1. The auxiliary pictures should show the product from different angles, show the product in use, or supplement the product features that are not highlighted in the main picture. Sellers can add up to 8 auxiliary pictures in Amazon product listings;

2. Auxiliary images do not require a white background;

3. For other requirements, please refer to the main image standards. Currently, Amazon does not support images in dynamic GIF file format.

Image size

1. When the length or width of any side of the image is greater than 1000 pixels, the image can have a "zoom function".

2. If the shortest side of the image is less than 500 pixels, it will be directly rejected by the Amazon system when uploaded.

Image Format

JPEG, TIFF, GIF. Amazon recommends uploading in JPEG format, which will be faster.

Image examples

1. The picture needs to use a pure white background.

2. The longest side of the image must be at least 500 pixels (1,000 pixels is recommended).

3. Images must not display embedded images
