Infibeam Avenues Limited is an Indian internet and e-commerce group involved in digital payments, online retail, e-commerce software and internet services. The company is headquartered in Ahmedabad, India. Infibeam has offices in Ahmedabad, Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, with a total of 1,300 employees.

Infibeam was founded by former Amazon employee Vishal Mehta. As a distributed e-commerce platform provider, Infibeam achieved a business growth rate of 396% in fiscal 2017. In addition, they are also the first listed e-commerce company in India, which was listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange in July 2015.

Infibeam provides a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform to suppliers through its BuildaBazaar product. Its revenue model is to charge merchants installation fees, as well as monthly usage fees and commissions on business transactions.

1. Retail platform: Infibeam.com. Infibeam retail platform offers millions of unique product choices at attractive prices. Customers can choose from more than 46 categories such as mobile phones and tablets, books and magazines, computers and accessories, electronics, gifts, cameras, fashion + accessories, home and kitchen, baby care and toys, music, movies and posters, health and fitness, and auto accessories.

2. E-commerce platform: BuildaBazaar.com. Infibeam's enterprise platform BuildaBazaar provides a state-of-the-art business platform for small, medium and large merchants to start an online store with their own domain name. The DIY platform is based on cloud services that support multi-language and multi-currency functions, and integrates payment gateways, logistics, order management, marketing and SEO, catalog management and other operational support services.

3. Digital Entertainment: INDENT. Infibeam Digital Entertainment (INDENT) is a subsidiary of Infibeam established in 2012, developing music streaming and download platform solutions for music labels, brands and OEMs. In 2013, the company embedded Sony Music’s Jive HD streaming and downloading application in Sony’s Xperia smartphone.

4. Infibeam Travel & Ticketing: INCEPT. The Infibeam Travel & Ticketing platform provides physical and online ticketing solutions for single-person, multi-venue attractions or dynamic package events. Whether it is a theme park, museum, concert or special event, Infibeam provides a complete offline and online solution for ticketing, registration and group sales needs.

5. Logistics aggregation platform: IShipDroid. IShipDroid is a logistics aggregation platform launched in January 2015, which aims to provide unified logistics services for small merchants of all express delivery partners.

6. Digital Marketing: ODIGMA. Infibeam provides digital marketing services through its subsidiary ODIGMA, which it acquired in 2014.

7. Infibeam Custom Gifting: Picsquare. Infibeam Custom Gifting platform provides customers with the ability to upload, view, share and order high-quality online prints of digital photos. It allows anyone to create products like T-shirts, mugs, calendars and greeting cards using your favorite photos. At Picsquare, there is an experienced printing network and a reliable delivery channel that can send photos and photo gifts across India at the user's doorstep.

8. Digital Payment: CCAvenue. In 2016, Infibeam invested $8.9 million in payment gateway CCAvenue. In February 2017, it announced further investment and a possible merger with CCAvenue. In May 2018, Infibeam Inc invested $1.17 million to acquire 100% of the equity of UAE-based payment gateway Vavian International Ltd.

9. E-book reader: Infibeam Pi. In February 2010, Infibeam launched Pi, an e-book reader that uses E-Ink electronic paper technology. Pi has a 6-inch screen with an eight-level grayscale non-backlit display. The device has the ability to play music files, read Word documents and support 13 Indian languages.

Acquisition

-In 2008, Infibeam acquired Picsquare.com, a personalized photo printing website.

-In 2014, Infibeam acquired digital marketing company Odigma for $5 million.

-In 2017, Infibeam signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to acquire DRC Systems, a provider of enterprise ERP solutions and custom software for e-commerce applications.

-In 2017, Infibeam merged with CCA Venue, India’s largest payment gateway, through a transaction valued at USD 289 million.

-In 2018, Infibeam acquired Unicommerce, a cloud-based e-commerce order management software, a wholly owned subsidiary of Snapdeal.

-In May 2018, Infibeam Inc. acquired 100% equity interest in Vavian International Ltd.

Financing

In January 2017, Infibeam received an equity investment of US$8.8 million from media giant Bennett, Coleman and Company Ltd (BCCL).

In April 2018, e-commerce platform Infibeam announced a new round of financing of 400 million rupees, led by Network18, a subsidiary of ReliancEINdustry. After this round of investment, Network18 will integrate Infibeam's e-commerce services into multiple platforms under Network18 Group to build a larger customer base.
