Basic Introduction

Founded in 2018 by aerospace engineer Arun Kumar Sureban, VestaSpace is an offbeat venture that aims to help startups and mid-sized businesses reap the benefits of using small satellites, satellite communications, sensors and connected devices.

Development History

In June 2020, Vestaspace Technologies, an Indian small satellite manufacturing company, recently announced a plan to launch a constellation of 35 or more satellites capable of covering India, with the goal of achieving 5G speed network connectivity and Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities. The company said it will release a test version of the next-generation satellite constellation in September 2020 and will send its satellites into low Earth orbit (LEO) and geosynchronous orbit (GEO) in early 2021.

Financing

In May 2020, Indian satellite technology company VestaSpace Technology completed a $10 million financing led by US investment company Next Capital LL. This round of financing will provide huge financial support for VestaSpace and expand its business scale globally.
