In November 2018, L Catterton Asia, the Asian branch of L Catterton, the world's largest consumer goods private equity investment company, recently announced that it would join hands with Mitsui & Co., Principal Investments Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "MCPI"), an investment subsidiary of Japan's Mitsui Group, to acquire Japanese fast fashion eyewear chain Owndays. The specific terms of the transaction have not yet been announced. After the transaction is completed, the existing management team of Owndays will remain in their original positions.
