What is Amazon.WORK? Amazon.WORK Review

Amazon.WORK is an independent top-level domain name enabled by Amazon for its express locker service called The Hub. Amazon.WORK is similar to the domestic Hive and Speedy Delivery services. Couriers can place packages in the lockers, and users can pick them up by themselves after obtaining the password, thus solving the last-mile problem of express delivery.

About Amazon.WORK

Amazon.WORK is still in the trial stage and is only available in some universities and apartments in the U.S. Domestic users can also access Amazon.WORK, but the related services have not yet been launched.

effect

1. Protect the safety of express delivery.

It would be extremely inconvenient if the user is not at home or leaves the package at a collection office. Therefore, Amazon launched the smart express delivery locker Hub to solve these problems.

2. Simplified the work process of staff.

Staff no longer need to deliver mail door to door, they only need to deliver mail to fixed delivery boxes.

China

WORK is a top-level domain under Zhimingmosi. On October 11, 2017, the .WORK, .LAW, .BEER, and .购物 domains under Zhimingmosi were officially approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. This means that the above domains can be registered and used for website building in China.

develop

Amazon attaches great importance to brand and domain name protection. After the .VIP domain name was opened for registration, Amazon immediately registered and activated domain names such as Amazon.VIP and Prime.VIP. After the .WORK domain name was opened, Amazon also quickly registered domain names such as Amazon.WORK and Prime.WORK. Amazon.WORK points to The Hub service, while Prime.WORK points to Amazon's membership service page.

Development prospects

Amazon is constantly accelerating its pace in smart logistics, and other couriers will also be able to use The Hub service. Amazon is currently conducting safety tests on its commercial drones. After obtaining approval from the Federal Aviation Administration, packages will be delivered to The Hub express boxes near the recipients by drones. You only need to log in to Amazon.WORK to get the password to pick up the package, which will bring earth-shaking changes to the entire logistics distribution and e-commerce shopping.
