Negative Keywords can only be used in manual or automatic product promotion activities at the campaign or ad group level.

Matching method

Negative keywords have two matching modes: Phrase and Exact.

Phrase: If the product is "Men's Shoulder Bag", and the word "black" is negated, then our product will not be displayed when a customer searches for "Men's Shoulder Bag Black".

Exact: If the product is "Men's Shoulder Bag", and the word "black" is negated, then the product will still be displayed to customers when they search for "Men's Shoulder Bag Black". It will not be displayed when they only search for the word "black".

The restrictions for negative keywords (phrase, exact) are:

•Phrase: 4 words, 80 characters

•exact: 10 words, 80 characters
